Mr. PEX Brass Manifolds come with mounting brackets .Manifolds have EK20 branches ready for 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8" PEX tubing.
A Supply and a Return Manifold are displayed here. A Basic Manifold (without any Valve) is also available (not displayed). Manifolds are sold separately, so user may select his own combination. The Return Manifold is equipped with a Flow Meter which also serves as a balaThe Manifold branches are Eurokonus 20 - compatible with many fitting makes. Manifolds can be feed from either end. The End Cap will align 180° turned when mounted on reverse end of Manifold, thus allowing for ”upside-down” installation). Branch Blind Caps are available to cap off unused branches (for future hook up).ncing valve. To adjust flow, remove the plastic Lock Cap and turn the black Balancing Ring until desired flow is displayed. Adjust flow in all branches of the manifold. Since flow rates in branches may interact, a few readjustments of flows may be required before all loops have correct flows in accordance with the system design. Note that when several manifolds are served by a single circulator, the flow to manifolds may be affected during system balancing and may require additional flow balancing. Snap on the Lock Caps when flow balancing is complete. Since balancing is a plan-do-review process, pressure loss charts are not required. Contact Mr PEX® Systems, Inc. if assistance is required. The flow meter will be filled with water at start-up, but after that there will be virtually no exchange of water in the Viewing Case during operation. Therefore, the water will remain quite clear and the flow may be re-checked. This is a major advantage over some other flow meter makes. The Flow Meter will work in any position. If the Viewing Case for some reason would be damaged and needs to be exchanged, or if it needs cleaning, this can be done without emptying the system. Simply remove the black plastic Lock Cap by snapping it loose. Turn the Balancing Ring clockwise until it bottoms out. Hold the Balancing Ring while turning the Viewing Case counter clockwise. It’s top is profi led to allow for grip - gently use a pair of pliers if required. Handle the Spring inside the Viewing Case with care and don’t loose it. Replace the viewing Case with a new unit, or clean it as required. Insert the Spring before reapplying the Viewing Case. Turn the Balancing Ring to set the flow to its design value again. Apply the Lock Cap.
